Prompt staff, professional and courteous. Quick response to requests. Excellent shuttle service with exclusive chauffeur. Comfortable rooms with nice views of the river. Best part is the breakfast with great selection and fine river view. Clean room with modern amenities. Friendly staff willing to meet your needs. Good value for money.
It was all superb.

Nothing in specific and just simply find the location of the hotel a distance away from the mrt and eating places. It is tucked away in a dark alley which is not safe for solo or group travellers.
No wireless. Inconvenient - there is no 24hr convenience store and is located nowhere nearer to any transport means.

Great river view and comfy beds. The location was convenient, with plenty of nearby shops and restaurants to choose from. Additionally, the hotel offered free Wi-Fi which was helpful.
The rooms were quite small, making it hard to move around comfortably. The staff wasn't very attentive, and seemed uninterested in helping us with our inquiries. Additionally, the breakfast selection was limited and not very appealing. not the best experience.

Location wise, it is not bad, not far away from the Ximen mrt station; hotel room is clean and quiet; temperature is comfortable; get good sleep.
Poor internet connection, not sure it is my room or apply to all rooms; unable to upload file to email. Very limited choice for restaurant; front desk staff not so helpful.

The breakfast had a good amount of food and I was able to eat enough for three meals in one go. The size of the room was nice and it had a small working desk. the location was perfect, just a short walk to the lively shopping area full of restaurants to eat at.

The location is very good, near city center and 10min walk from mrt station. The room was big and clean.
The hotel was crowded with groups which made the hotel lobby like a circus all the time. The hotel staff were not very helpful and exchanging money or asking for directions/sightseeing tips could be a nightmare!

Happy as I was upgraded to a suit , huge living room and spacious bath. Great location for shopping and food. A walking distance to subway is also an advantage.

We had a great stay at this hotel! The staff were professional, courteous, and prompt to respond to our requests. The location of this hotel is very convenient, as it is close to the Ximending night market and the busy street.
Nothing all excellent.

I'm not very happy staying in this hotel. The distance between the MRT station to the hotel is rather quite far walking distance. The staff at reception was not too friendly too. But overall still fine.

The location is great if you want to be close to the lively Ximending market and MRT station. It's just a short walk away from the hustle and bustle of the busy street. the hotel also offers a nice view of the river, as mentioned by the review.
The hotel seems to lack proper maintenance and renovation, as mentioned by several reviews.

This is the most terrible & horrific hotel that I have ever stay in my life of travelling around the world. "So call 4 star hotel in taipei" Fyi, we stayed in Hotel Riverview Taipei on 25 -26 Oct and 29 - 1 Nov (after our return trip from Hualien). Total 5 nights. Let me share with all readers out there about our terrible and horrific experiences during our stay at Hotel Riverview Taipei (5 nights). Our family travelled in a group of 7 including one elderly of 76 years old. Our horrific & bad experiences were as follows:- 1) Poor and rude attitude of hotel staff at the reception counter. 2) Hotel is very old, so were the furniture and fittings. 3) Room is very small and bath tub water does not drain properly during the shower. Both feet in a pool of water at ankle level during the shower. 4) Found small Cockroaches clawing around in the bath room. 5) My brother-in-law and sister were bitten by bed bugs and both legs clearly shown many small red-spot just like mosquito "kisses". 6) Chamber-maid doing their round of cleaning just open your door without checking if the guest is in the room or check if the guest have already check-out. My sister encountered twice of such incident and the chamber-maid just apologise. 7) Bed sheets are not "clean" and we found itches all over body the next day. 8) Cup with coffee stain and I have to get the chamber-maid to exchange for another clean coffee cup. 9) Walking distance from hotel to XinMengDing takes more than 15 mins. A long walk, especially for the elderly. 10) Around hotel vicinity are very old and run-down shophouses. We will not recommend anyone to stay in this hotel and is definitely NOT VALUABLE FOR MONEY.
